Donovan's First Day of Preschool

So yesterday was his first day of school. The bus came to pick him up at 8:40 and I have to say that I am not used to this early morning thing! Thank goodness I didn't have to have myself ready as well. It was very different having him gone to school early in the morning cause when he was going at 11:30 I would be putting Bella down for a nap right after he left. So now I'm thinking this will be great for me and Bella to have some mommy/daughter time! Well..... she was just ornery almost the whole time that Donovan was gone. I think she missed him.

As for Donovan, he will be going to 2 different preschools. The main preschool through the Jordan District on Mondays & Wednesdays and another preschool on Thursdays. Since the JSD took away most of the Special Education Programs due to "lack of funds" there is no longer the kindergarten prep class, this was the class he was suppose to be in this year. So the District combined all the classes and he was put into a class mixed with 3 year olds. Obviously that didn't make me very happy because I felt that he was not going to be challenged in the way that he needs and I'm afraid he will basically learn the same things he did last year. So I'm hoping that the other preschool will give him what he needs, but he is only going to that one 1 day a week. So if I don't see any improvement on the things he should be learning this year we will pull him from the program and place him in the other preschool for the rest of the year. I guess we'll have to just wait and see!

Where did my baby go?

I can't believe how fast she is growing up! Even just last month she seemed much smaller. I think it's starting to hit me that she is my last baby.... and she's growing up too fast!!! Slow it down just a little please!

HOW TO MAKE LABELS

I need some serious blogging help! I want to create different labels for different topics, and not have all my posts show on my main home page! Can someone please help me figure this out? Will I need to create new pages, or will the style of the page be the same? I am NOT good at much when it comes to the computer! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

THANK YOU JORDAN SCHOOL DISTRICT

Ok, so I feel like I am surrounded by COMPLETE MORONS!!!! For the last 2 weeks I have been trying to find somebody at the (JVSD CDC) Jordan Valley School District Child Development Center to tell me where, what days and what times Donovan will be attending school and NOBODY knows!!! We were told by his previous teacher to get him into a regular preschool for an extra supplement to the 2 days he loses because of the stupid cutbacks in the Special Education program. SO THANK YOU JORDAN SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCREWING ALL OF US PARENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS! I have missed all the preschool openings because people can't get their head out of their asses and do their job! I have been given a complete run around between the 2 districts Jordan and Canyons..... HELLO I'm in West Jordan, I'm in the Jordan district! Not the Canyon's who put us here in the first place! Why can't you find my child's name and his records and tell me where the crap he is suppose to go!?!

*UPDATE*

So I finally hear back from the correct person and find out that they have changed his days and times COMPLETELY! He is suppose to be going into the 4 year old class Tuesday's and Thursday's 11:30-1:30, but now they have changed him to Monday and Wednesday 9:00-11:00. I finally found a preschool that will take him..... BUT on Monday's & Wednesday's!!! And the BEST part is.... the teachers are in charge of the schedule and moving around students to better accommodate the families, BUT they are on vacation and won't be back until the school year starts! AWESOME!!!

THIS SUCKS.....

For all you PRO bloggers that use TCBOTB come Friday July 23 they are removing our backgrounds due to what it is costing Photobucket to let us use them free. I am really sad cause I just found a background that fits us perfectly!!! I don't want to lose it! So I guess my question is have any of you payed for backgrounds before and is it worth it?

I made this little dress for Bella for her 1st birthday/family pics. It turned out really cute and fits her perfectly.... although some of the pictures she is leaning against the chair so it looks a little off.

It's been so long since I have updated my blog! Last month Bella turned 1! I had BIG plans for her birthday party... who knew that the weather would be FREEZING COLD in June? So it didn't turn out how I had hoped but it was a good time anyway.
